Two - Three Weeks:
Make out your list of invitations and mail them out.
If you are not going to make a cake, you need to order one now. See the Polly Ester Clown picture that you can take to the bakery and have them lazer the picture onto the cake for a Polly Ester Clown Show.
You need to decide what kind of activities you will be doing and the prizes that you will be giving out.
A Polly Ester Birthday Party will provide the entertainment, games, prizes, and candy depending on the program that you choose. See Polly Ester Clown Birthday Parties.
Also, if you need to ask a friend or relative to help you out, now would be a good time.
One Week Left
Make a grocery list of items that you need.
Paper plates, cups, spoons, party games, activities, prizes, candy, toys, etc.
Decide the order in which you are going to play the games, where the decorations will be placed, prizes that will be given out, when you will serve the cake and ice cream, when the birthday child will open presents.
Confirm the reservations for the location of the party. Confirm the entertainment for the party. It is always good to do this just in case a double booking has accidently happened.
Two to Three Days
Assemble the treat bags, pinata, etc.
Make sure that you have your camera charged. Also, that you have film.
Go grocery shopping for candles, cups, pinata, treats and bags, etc.
Confirm number of children coming. Give any child a call that has not responded as of yet to make sure you have enough prizes etc.
One Day
clean area of party. Make sure there are no hazardous objects, sharp, etc in the area.
Pick up the cake
Discuss party expectations with your children
Order take out food such as pizza for following day.
Practice saying thank you with your younger children. Remind your older children to use their best manners also.
Four to Five Hours
Set the table
Lay out crafts
Inflate balloons
Decorate
tie balloons to your mailbox or front porch so guest can locate the party easily.
Find matches for candles
Make sure you have a pen and paper to record gifts
Have a large trash bag available for dispose of wrapping paper
One Hour before guest arrive
Consider putting pets in an area away from guests. In many cases it get it saves a lot of stress on both you and the guests.
Get yourself and the chidren dressed
Set the food out on the table with the candles in the cake
Set up crafts and activities
During the Party
Station your children and yourself near the front door to welcome your guests.
Designate yourself or a friend to be the photographer for the party
When the parents bring their children make sure to tell them when the party is over and confirm the pick up.

Write thank you notes to your special guests thanking them for coming to your party as well as gifts.
