Conflict Management, Science Magic, Drug Prevention and Good Manners are the subjects Cecelia and Carl entertain by using Magic, Ventriloquism, Comedy, Puppets, and a variety of other interesting characters, skits, and embellishments to help children better understand these subjects. Conflict Management Susie and Carl (ventriloquist puppets) begin to argue about how Carl had ignored Susie during class. It escalates until Cecelia steps in and does a conflict management program with them. A few children from the audience and the show works it's way thru a presentation of magic, ventriloquism, and puppets. The kids are selected from the audience to become puppeteers. Envolving the children in the program is an effective way to encourage the kids to participate throughout the show. A Game Show using all of the kids is the finale and the winning class wins a surprise. Everyone wants to pay attention so they can win this special surprise. Conflict Management and Drug Prevention Shows School Shows - CONFLICT MANAGEMENT, DRUG PREVENTION The topics are Conflict Management and Drug Prevention. If you are interested in a fun assembly for your elementary school please contact me at 208-637-8913. This show is aimed towards elemenary age children to teach them the problems that can arise from a simple conflict. A variety of different entertainment is implimented including Carl and Susie, the ventriloquist soft puppets, A puppet show put on by the children in your school, (no previous rehersal, they follow a story), a game show involving many of the children in the assembly, as well as a magic show that weaves information throughout the show of ways you can resolve problems with your peers. It's called "How Much Do You Know?!" This is a game where several children are picked - 2 groups selected. Children will ring a bell when they know the answer first. Fast paced and fun for everyone. Cecelia Drug Prevention A magic show is presented using magic to explain the dangers of drugs. Smokey (a dragon puppet) gets caught smoking and reveals many things that are wrong with smoking. One is he smells bad, but there are a lot of other reasons too. You can use the game "How Much do You Know?!" with the drug prevention program also. The Drug Prevention show is a magic show bringing a more entertaining way to look at the seriousness of the drug problems in America. It is for elementary children and is not a heavy drug show, but a lighter show presenting children with solutions to stay away from drugs, reporting drug problems to their teachers without feeling bad, and the dangers of drugs in general. This also includes Carl, the soft ventriloquist puppet, Smokey the dragon ventriloquist puppet, and the talking chalkboard. A combination of both of the programs can be done. I prefer to do one subject at a time so the children can really focus on that particular issue. However, I created an entertaining pause between shows so we can do both. I have been doing these shows for several years and the children as well as teachers and administration seem to really enjoy them. Check out my testimonial pages. The students produce their own commercial concerning either conflicts or drugs. Then their show is shown or performed at the assembly during the commercial break. The winning class will receive a choice between a balloon show for their classroom. Balloon animals, balloon races, fun, decorations, etc. Or, they can have a magic show for their classroom only. Use our program on science magic and how to make science more attractive. This program gets the kids hyped for science by using magic and science together. Children help with the experiements. Good lessons, great for visual and hands on learners as well as audio. This is a terrific program around Science Week or Grandparents week. Children will be delighted with the new production of "Johnny Appleseed". Cecelia and Carl are proud to present their interpetation of Johnny Appleseed. Carl (Johnny Appleseed) and Cecelia read an over-sized book to the children about the historical figure and answer questions about his life and adventures. This was prepared with the library, school classroom, and pre-school in mind.
Cecelia does some magic with an apple theme. The children then are invited to have a treat made from apples, an apple, or they can take an apple balloon home. Another possibility if the curriculum applies - plant an apple seed and watch it grow.
The children are all encouraged to wear a hat they made themselves, or their own favorite hat. This pays contribute to the fact that Johnny Appleseed was famous for the many different and unusual hats that he wore. Another idea for the event is to let the children make their hats at the reading.

I have been receiving many calls from schools to do a Science Magic Show for kids who have participated or won in programs set up by the PTA or by the school or teachers. This has turned out to be very successful for all involved. Last year we worked on Science Magic concerning eggs, and illusions. This year we will be doing something new. Manners Classes for Kids (Classroom) If you are an elementary teacher grades pre-school thru grades 4 or 5 and you are working on Good Manners, please know that you can go out of the box by teaching children manners using Carl, my ventriloquist puppet, and, classroom lessons using my book "How To Be #1 Kid At Table Manners". This has been done in several classrooms and has encouraged the children to succeed in using their manners. It is great fun as well.
For the older kids? This is very fun for the older kids. When kids go into 5th, 6th, and Junior High School, I have created a great game that will teach the kids manners while playing the game. They actually memorize the answers and without a lot of stress or work while doing it. Proven to be effective and fun.
Good Manners This is a terrific show to help children understand the importance of using good manners. It also teaches manners while the kids are laughing. A fun filled show with Cecelia and Carl. Kids learn how to sit down properly, a variety of manners for the table as well as good manners for everyday.
